Hi there and thanks for clicking my profile.
I am a keen, enthusiastic and fun tutor of English language and literature, for people of all ages. Most of my work focusses on students taking their GCSEs and A-Levels, though I am always happy to teach younger students too from Key-Stage 1, and also adults who have progressed past standard schooling and are exploring further education.
I have a passion for language, for writing, for etymology and for teaching others. I believe that with the correct, adaptive, fun approach to learning, all students have the capability to succeed. I tailor each lesson to the student, enabling us to work together to find the best way of learning.
We all have more potential than we know, and sometimes we simply need a helping hand to get there. I know how people work, and I know how to tap in to a student's interests in order to find that spark which will allow them to better grasp that talent which may remain hidden within them.
I studied English Literature and Law, and have a proved track-record in essay-writing skills. I am happy to read, annotate and mark essays if required.
My employment history is within broadcast and digital media, where I worked across various creative disciplines. I am also a published author and novelist. More than anything though, I am passionate about the education of others, and about sharing what I know in order to better someone else's future prospects.
